On March 23–24, 2026, the VaMPiRE project convened its annual General Assembly in Barcelona, bringing together consortium partners to review progress, share insights, and align on next steps.

In his address, he welcomed three new beneficiaries to the consortium: LEITAT Technology Center, Sapienza University of Rome, and Universidad de Oviedo, marking an important expansion of the project’s collaborative network.

Updates on project management and coordination were subsequently presented by Nunzia Tramontano of Casa di Cura IGEA and Eduard Boada, COO of Linkcare. This was followed by a comprehensive progress report on the clinical trial, delivered by Dr. Elda Judica (Casa di Cura IGEA) and Josep Benavent, Project Manager at Linkcare.

The day concluded with a networking dinner at La Dolça Hermínia, where partners had the opportunity to connect and exchange ideas in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.

Proceedings resumed on the morning of March 24 with a presentation by Dr. Marco Feligioni, who outlined recent advances in scientific research. Linkcare and LEITAT then provided an update on the design and development of the in vitro diagnostic (IVD) component, a key element of the project.
