The event served as a platform to communicate the project&#8217;s objectives and encourage collaboration among key stakeholders, including Parkinson\u2019s patient associations and specialized clinical staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The morning session featured a strategic internal meeting with representatives from the project\u2019s partner organisations: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casadicuraigea.it\/\">Casa di Cura IGEA<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkcareapp.com\/\">Linkcare Health Services<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inserm.fr\/\">INSERM<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebri.it\/en\/\">European Brain Research Institute Rita Levi-Montalcini<\/a> (EBRI), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.synlab.it\/\">Synlab<\/a>. This gathering provided an essential opportunity for partners to share updates, discuss ongoing activities, and align on the next steps to further the project\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the afternoon, the event was opened to patients, associations, and specialized clinical staff, offering an in-depth exploration of the current and future challenges in diagnosing and treating Parkinson\u2019s disease. Crucial topics were addressed such as the differences between clinical and biochemical diagnosis, the latest frontiers of innovative therapies and the fundamental role of narrative in accompanying patients and their families. A central moment of the event was the presentation of the V\u0251MPiRe project, which highlighted the potential of research in identifying new biomarkers capable of revolutionising the early diagnosis of the disease and its application in a future <strong>i<\/strong>n vitro diagnostic (IVD) tool for early screening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event featured renowned speakers from the fields of neurology and neuroscience, who shared their insights and expertise:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prof. Leonardo Pantoni, Scientific Director of Casa di Cura IGEA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Luigi Pisani Director of the Department of Neurorehabilitation Casa di Cura IGEA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Vanna Avoledo who represented the Order of Physicians of Milan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prof. Giovanni Fabbrini, Director of the Department of Neurosciences of the University of Rome &#8220;La Sapienza&#8221; and President of LIMPE<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prof. Roberto Eleopra, Director of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences of the Carlo Besta Neurological Institute of Milan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Fabio Triulzi Chief of Neuroradiology of the Policlinico of Milan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Marco Feligioni, Scientific Coordinator of the V\u0251MPiRe project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Elda Judica, PI of the project for Casa di Cura IGEA and Clinical Coordinator of the V\u0251MPiRe project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Giangi Milesi, President of the Confederazione Parkinson Italia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay tuned for further updates on the V\u0251MPiRE project as it continues to pave the way for innovation in neurodegenerative disease research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On February 28, 2025, Casa di Cura IGEA hosted an event to present the V\u03b1MPiRE project.
