This session was part of the Science and Health program, a series of panel discussions on neurodegenerative diseases including Parkinson\u2019s, Alzheimer\u2019s, and ALS. Mrs. Carrasco joined neurologists Justo Garc\u00eda de Y\u00e9benes, Pedro Garc\u00eda Ruiz Espiga, Ana Rojo Sebasti\u00e1n, and Jos\u00e9 Luis L\u00f3pez-Send\u00f3n Moreno to explore topics such as Parkinson\u2019s disease progression over the past two decades, premorbid personality traits, and both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Approximately 40 participants attended, including people living with Parkinson\u2019s, caregivers, healthcare professionals, researchers, and students, creating an engaging and informative discussion environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Two weeks later, on November 17, APM hosted the annual VaMPiRE project information meeting for its professionals. Between 50 and 70 staff members attended this internal dissemination and training session, which highlighted the project\u2019s objectives, progress, and key aspects. Participants included physiotherapists, speech and occupational therapists, psychologists, music therapists, and administrative staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On the same day, Mrs. Carrasco also participated in a roundtable discussion on Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) and Patient-Reported Experience Measures (PREMs), hosted by the PORIB Foundation in collaboration with Carlos III University of Madrid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the discussion, she emphasized the importance of rigorous methodology in clinical research, stating,\u201cwe must know how to measure and use an appropriate methodology with the aim of improvement. What is not measured cannot be improved.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n A big thank you to APM for their dedication and commitment to the VaMPiRE project.
